Recognise the situation
A fake exchange, wallet support agent or investment group may demand deposits or wallet secrets.
Protect yourself now
Do not share seed phrases or private keys, connect a wallet to an unknown site, or pay an alleged recovery fee. Contact the genuine platform through its official channel.
What to preserve
Keep public wallet addresses, transaction hashes, network names, website URLs and chats. Never include seed phrases in evidence or support messages.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
