Recognise the situation
An abusive loan app may misuse contact access or threaten you and your family.
Protect yourself now
Do not install further apps or send money solely because of threats. Preserve records before reviewing app permissions. Verify the lender independently and seek official help.
What to preserve
Keep the app name and link, loan terms, actual disbursal and payment records, threatening messages and caller details. Avoid sharing your contact list.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
