Recognise the situation
Cybercrime can involve several kinds of deception, account misuse or threats at once.
Protect yourself now
Stop further payments and disclosure of secrets. Use trusted official channels to secure affected accounts and report what you know without guessing.
What to preserve
Keep original messages, URLs, identifiers, dates and transaction references. Record uncertainties clearly and ask for human help if the facts are complex.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
