Recognise the situation
A fake store or seller may take payment without delivery or send a fraudulent refund link.
Protect yourself now
Contact the marketplace and payment provider through their official channels. Do not scan a refund QR or share codes to receive a refund.
What to preserve
Keep the listing URL, seller profile, order confirmation, payment reference, delivery promises and support correspondence.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
