Recognise the situation
Repeated unwanted contact, threats or location monitoring may put your privacy and safety at risk.
Protect yourself now
Prioritise a safe place and trusted support. Review account sessions, location sharing and privacy from a safe device; consider whether changes could alert an abuser.
What to preserve
Keep a dated incident log, non-graphic threats, usernames and links. Avoid engaging with threats or publishing your location.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
