Recognise the situation
A request for an OTP or sudden loss of mobile service may be linked to account or SIM misuse.
Protect yourself now
Contact your mobile operator and bank through verified channels from another safe device if needed. Secure affected accounts; never relay codes to a caller.
What to preserve
Keep network-loss times, SIM-change alerts, suspicious messages and bank references. Do not include actual OTP values in your complaint draft here.
Reporting and next steps
For money lost, call 1930 promptly and contact your bank through its verified channel. Report cybercrime at cybercrime.gov.in and keep the acknowledgement. Chakshu on Sanchar Saathi is for suspected fraudulent communications; it does not replace reporting a crime or money lost. Contact local police for immediate threats; call 112 in immediate danger.
For your complaint, record what happened, when, the platform, amount and transaction references if any, and the evidence you have. Leave unknown facts blank. A draft is not a filed report. Human assistance can help organise complex facts, but cannot guarantee recovery.
